Building for Visalia's Seniors: Pro-Wide Drywall at Crescent Meadows

At Pro-Wide Drywall, the work that means the most to us is the work that makes a lasting difference — and Crescent Meadows is exactly that kind of project.

Our crews are currently active on this new affordable senior rental community in Visalia, CA, a partnership between Self-Help Enterprises and Visalia Senior Housing. When complete, Crescent Meadows will offer 80 apartments for adults ages 62 and older, with 24 units designated for senior veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. One-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans will be available, along with a community building designed to host resident services, workshops, and social events.

A Full-Scope Role

PWD's involvement on Crescent Meadows is one of our most comprehensive to date. Our scope covers rough carpentry framing, drywall, and paint across both the residential buildings and the community building — from structural framing and shear walls to fire-rated assemblies, gypsum wallboard, and final finish coats on interiors and exteriors alike.

The project is designed to meet California's Build America Buy America requirements and includes prevailing wage compliance — a standard we're well-versed in across our portfolio of affordable housing work.

Designed with Seniors in Mind

Every detail at Crescent Meadows is thoughtfully considered for its residents. The community building will serve as a central hub for on-site services and programming, and the development is built to high standards of durability and efficiency — important considerations for residents on fixed incomes.
