Working under Emmerson Construction, the project’s general contractor, we delivered a full interior and exterior scope including rough carpentry framing, drywall installation, paint, and finishes. This development stands as one of the region’s most impactful new communities, designed to support working families and farmworkers in the Central Valley.
A Community‑Focused Development Backed by Local Investment
Auburn Vista Apartments is a 60‑unit affordable housing community located at 6201 Auburn Street, east of Fairfax Road. The development was built by Chelsea Investment Corporation, with Emmerson Construction leading the build and Pro‑Wide Drywall contributing major trade scopes. The project received $3 million in funding from the City of Bakersfield, including allocations from the Public Safety and Vital Services fund, the Local Housing Trust Fund, and federal American Rescue Plan Act funds—reflecting the city’s commitment to reducing homelessness and expanding affordable housing options.
Auburn Vista’s mission: to provide safe, modern, and affordable housing for low‑income farmworkers and their families—a critical need in a region where one in six jobs is tied to agriculture.
The community includes:
